How do we truly feel our feelings? Our feelings are something that are constantly changing because of our beliefs, lifestyle, diet, nervous system, hormones, perception among many other things.
Feelings are emotions and we have many as humans! How can we get the entire spectrum of the human experience with suppressing one of those ends of the spectrum when one of those ends can be difficult?
Not shoving our feelings under a rug, but rather feeling the difficult ones when they come up because they will and they do. Difficult emotions and feelings are part of this emotional spectrum that we get to experience as humans.
We’re conventionally told to suppress the negative ones. That we should be embarrassed by negative feelings and that it’s not normal to experiencing feelings or to cry. Which is untrue.
