At the end of July the Space Cowboys gathered at The Artisan Hotel in Las Vegas for the 40th birthday of Cowboy managing partner and party-planner extraordinaire, Andrea Lundquist. Birthdays were the overriding theme of the entire weekend as several of our friends (Cindy, Matt and Spoon) were also celebrating another trip around the sun. The Artisan gave us control of the poolside sound system from Friday night to Sunday morning and our DJ friends from DISTRIKT, Deep End, Seismic and Green Gorilla joined the Cowboys on the decks to provide the soundtrack for the weekend.

It was a sh*t show of Hunter S. Thompson proportions highlighted by an impromptu synchronized swimming performance, male strippers, a gorgeous custom print for the birthday girl from Finger Lickin' illustrator Jem Panufnik and a 5-hour closing set from our pal, Elite Force. Of course that is only the top line. The rest of what happened in Vegas, as they say, stays in Vegas. ;)
