We came to Poughkeepsie so that we could both work and make a lot of money so that we could save up to buy a house eventually. We know with both of working, we'd be able to save much faster!!

Erran took the first contract and then we waited from my US job to come through.

It finally got approved and it was literally one of the worst contracts i've ever seen in 10 years of traveling!!
We went back and forth about what to do...and in the end...I had to say NO!!

Sometimes the money just isn't worth it.

Making that decision was tough, but being so clear on our goals and what we want to achieve and what were working towards and how we want to feel..
Made it much easier to say NO to something that would have made us a lot of money,

it's important as a traveler to always listen to your gut..
if it feels wrong or chaotic....it isn't right!!

TravCon 2022 Recap!!
TravCon is the largest conference for healthcare travelers & it happens every year in September in Vegas.
It's a wild couple of days and it's a great mix of both learning & playing.

This was our 4th year attending TravCon, but it was our first year going where we didn't have any work obligations. We didn't think we were going to make it this year, so we didn't want to have any responsibilities, and then we decided at the very last minute to go.

We thought it would be fun to have a year "off" so that way we could focus on playing & going to parties and doing all the things we don't usually do when we're working at the conference.

It definitely wasn't the vibe we thought it was going to be &  We had a lot of triggers that came up for us while we were there...
We also realized we just don't party like we used to & it also takes us a lot longer to rebound!

We break it all down in this weeks episode.

September 6th officially marks our 10 year travel anniversary.
We've been reflecting on the past decade and where our lives were before we started traveling & where they are now!!
Going from having tons of debt...no savings...no TIME OFF & literally digging change out from our couch cushions to put gas in the car so we could make it work....

To paying off debts...having a big savings account...traveling then world for months at a time...starting businesses...

It's pretty wild to reflect on this journey and all the doors & opportunities that this lifestyle has brought into our lives.

We are back from Bali and we have made our way up the east coast all the way....to New York!!
Erran is starting a new job next week....and let's just say...
The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind!!!

We love the freedom & flexibility of this travel life...
But this lifestyle also comes with it's own set of challenges...

There are so many steps to take & decisions to make...
In order to get from point A to point Z & actually walk in our your first day!!
Traveling has also gotten more expensive because of the cost of short term rentals these days.!!

Travel is crazy right now...the airlines are crazy right now...and the price of tickets is just absolutely insane!! 
We had to rebook our flight home and it was an absolute nightmare!! We had to pay thousands of extra dollars and it took us days to get it all figured out!! 

We tell that full story in this episode + We are heading home in style and basically having the most Boojee-ist experience  possible to celebrate Erran's 40th birthday!!!
