In this week's episode I am joined by John Saunders Sr. I met John at Autumn Oaks this past year and knew quickly into our conversation I wanted to have him on the podcast. He is a wealth of knowledge and stories but what would you expect after 50 years. John's son was on episode 58 and we talk a lot more about the squirrel dogs that they have owned in that episode. In this week's episode I am joined by TJ Bolin. I met TJ at Autumn Oaks and breifly learned about his female redbone Penny. Penny had won her cast in the Dual Champions hunt and won the Redbone breed in the show. After having him on I learned a lot more about redbones and the people that hunt them. In this week's episode I am joined by Mark Holladay. In episode 138 Robin told us all about the bird dog crosses he is hunting and got me and Mark hooked up so we could talk about them some more. Mark was a bird dog trainer for many years that transitioned to squirrel hunting when the birds vanished. He struggled to find something he liked until he stumbled on a couple of different bird dog crosses. These 2 dogs have built the foundation that Mark and Robin hope to continue for years to come.
