Through Ezekiel, leaders of Judah get rebuked. Edom receives a prophecy of justice.  And God speaks restoration to Judah for the sake of His holy name.  Ezekiel 33:21-33; 34:1-31; 35:1-15,16-38

The Lord wants to plant a remnant back in Judah after the destruction, but they remain as hardheaded as their ancestors.  Jeremiah 42:1-22; 43:1-7,8-13; 44:1-14,15-30; 51:64; Ezekiel 33:1-20

Judah has been destroyed and taken over by Babylon.  It's a time of uncertainty and insecurity for those left.  Lamentations 4:1-22; 5:1-22; Jeremiah 40: 7-16 41:1-3,4-18

Jeremiah mourns what has happened to Judah, but reminds us that we can still find hope in despair and light in our darkness, by turning to our Lord.  Lamentations 2:1-22; 3:1-66
