Today, the Israelites prepare for war and stones of remembrance are set up. God requires circumcision (commitment) before moving on, and Joshua meets the Commander of the Lord's army.

God tells the Israelites that His laws are not beyond their reach and has the Israelites participate in a blessings and curses event. Moses commissions Joshua to be their new leader.

Today, we'll see Moses remind the Jewish people again of the consequences of disobedience so that they won't have to experience them. His warnings are prophetic. He reminds them that God is with them and will make them prosperous in obedience.
