Trigger Warning: This episode deals with sexual assault and may not be appropriate for everyone.

We are sticking around Indy for at least two of our stories this episode. Krysti runs through several of the highlights of Irvington.  She covers several places that are on the ghost tours that run through the neighbor on a regular basis.  Tori found a story of a cemetery in the area as well.  The park in that area is attached to the cemetery and seems to be the resting place of a harmonica playing ghost.  Tori is also covers the Witch’s Circle in Daleville which is actually Sharp Cemetery.  Looks like we need to get our butts in the car and go take some pics!

    Tippecanoe and Tara Too

We went road tripping with a special guest for this episode! We went to Lafayette and Battle Ground for this episode. Tara joins us for both the TL road trip and to listen to the stories we collected there. Krysti talks about Amelia Earhart and her ghostly appearances in both Hangar 1 and her previous residence hall, both of which still exist to this day. Tori covers the Battle of Tippecanoe and the Prophet’s false visions. Tenskwatawa, also known as the Prophet due to his visions of victory, was sorely mistaken in his visions of glory and led his men into a battle that they could not win. This led to the surviving members of his tribe to abandon both his visions and Prophetstown, leaving a clear path for General(soon to be president) William Henry Harrison to take over the land.  Tori also goes into the curse of Tecumseh and the presidents of the US. Check out our Instagram for pics! Thank you Tara for being a part of our adventure and the official photographer for this trip!

Shades State Park and French Lick Hotel

Krysti gives us the rundown on French Lick Springs Hotel and all of it’s ghost stories. We learn that it’s nice to be rich and get the railroad to come to your front door. The ghosts run the gamut from friendly elevator operators, to the bloody bride, to ghosts living their best death riding horses through ballrooms. Tori badly explains the stone tape theory of hauntings for folks this episode. Tori covers Shades State Park and the original ominous name Shades of Death. This parks bloody past is outweighed by it’s beauty today. Also, we wanna go camping there!

Our guests stuck around for a second episode and chimed in.  Tori tells the story of Whispers Estate in Mitchell Indiana. A rundown of the tragic Gibbons family and the specter of death that was with them.  The varied manifestations of the supernatural has put this house in the spotlight and has been on several shows on the Travel Channel. Krysti goes into the histories of the twin mansions, Allison Mansion and the Wheeler Stokely Mansion.  These two beautiful mansions sit on the campus of Marion College in Indianapolis.  A rundown on the supernatural shenanigans that occur there are given as well.  Chuck regales us with tales about the Screaming Bridge also known as the Witch’s Bridge in Zionsville, IN. This is a bridge that no longer exists but was imbedded in the collective psyche of the children/teenagers in the area.  And Tori finally gets a chance to be Scully for once.  And don’t forget to check out Whispers pizza deal, as seen on FB.

All Hell’s Gates Break Loose for Tori’s Birthday

We have guest hosts! Chuck and Malcom join Tori and Krys for this episode! Krys tells us the legend of Black Annie and her story in Boonville Indiana. She still hangs around Scales Lake Park to this day. We also explore the appropriate dress for ghosts that wander down roads.  Black Annie has far reaching roots in English folklore and seems to be another lore trope. Tori covers a plethora of topics this episode including at least 5 cemeteries, Spook Light Hill, and the Hell’s Gates that are in Clay County. More lore/horror tropes are explored throughout this episode.  Chase chimes in throughout this episode as well. And an important question is asked in this episode: Who is Bobby Barton?

Trigger warning: Dad jokes abound in this episode

Stepps Cemetery in the Morgan Monroe State forest is discussed and the many legends/ghosts that reside there.  This is also the oldest pioneer cemetery in the state. We discuss the Crabbites and their interesting religious practices. Also, some ghosts need therapy. 100 Step Cemetery (Carpenter Cemetery) with it’s visions of death and body snatchers. Also Tori is on cold medicine and is not firing on all cylinders.

Trigger Warning: This episode deals with suicide and may be upsetting for some listeners, please be advised.

Krys covers the Lafayette Guillotine and it’s maker’s decidedly interesting yet deadly idea.  Tori covers the Hagenbeck-Wallace Circus (Tori cannot say this name the whole episode and absolutely butchers it every time.) This circus endured one of the worst/most deadly train wrecks in the history of the US.  This story also showcases another weird yet interesting Indiana factoid, the town of Peru and it’s claims to fame.  This also goes into the legends associated with this tragedy. Due to the heavy nature of this episode we decided to end on a lighter note, the story of the grave in the middle of the road.  This goes into Nancy Barnett’s final resting place and the unique reason CR400 is a divided highway.

PS. Tori is still on cold medicine(medicine head is a thing and was she absolutely sober) and according to Krys sounds like a cross between William Shatner and Christopher Walken due to her dramatic pauses. Thank goodness for editing…

We give both the history and continue on through current state of the property.  The ghost stories of the property are explored by Tori as well.  Krysti also found an interesting story from our list gleaned from Crown Hill and it’s inhabitants.  All we can say for that is, we’re sorry Ms. Jackson.
