Being a parent doesn't stop when your kids become adults. In this personal solo episode I get candid about one of the hardest parts of parenting grown children. If you're an adult parent trying to figure out where the line is, this one is for you.

In this episode of Kim's Chair, Jules Heron of Hair for Humans in Portland, Oregon gets real about why so many clients leave the salon without getting what they asked for, why quitting color was the best business decision they ever made, and how going all in on what they actually love led to 750,000 followers across four platforms and $12,000 months on Facebook.
Jules also breaks down the Facebook reposting strategy that changed everything, why consistency and authenticity will always outperform perfection, and what it really means to build a clientele around your strengths rather than what you think you're supposed to be doing.
This one is for every stylist who has ever felt stuck doing something they hate just because they thought they had to.

In this episode of Kim's Chair, Jeremy Pugh sits down for one of his rare podcast appearances and holds absolutely nothing back. From discovering cosmetology in a prison program to becoming the first TikTok Shop creator to sell a million dollars in a single month, Jeremy's story is one of the most unexpected and inspiring journeys in the beauty industry.
Kim and Jeremy go deep on the state of the hair industry, why so much of the education being sold to stylists is built on smoke and mirrors, what it actually takes to build a platform that converts, and why authenticity will always outlast any brand deal.
This one is raw, real, funny, and genuinely eye opening whether you're a hairstylist, a content creator, or just someone who loves a good comeback story.

I've been a hairdresser for 30 years and I still wasn't prepared for what menopause did to my hair. In this episode of Kim's Chair I'm getting into everything nobody warned us about. Why your hair gets dry, brittle, and starts thinning. What estrogen actually does for your hair and what happens when she leaves. How follicle miniaturization changes your hair's texture and growth cycle. What to look for in your labs including ferritin, thyroid, iron, and vitamin D. Why inflammation might be the root cause of everything. I'm also sharing the products I'm personally using right now to treat my scalp and what I've learned about headband wigs as a protective option while your hair is in recovery mode. This is an ongoing series and I'm taking you with me every step of the way.

I've been dealing with a scalp itch I couldn't explain for a while.. and once I figured out it wasn't dirt, it was inflammation, everything changed. In this episode I'm breaking down what's actually causing that stubborn localized itch, why scratching makes it worse, and the three steps I use to calm it. I also walk you through exactly what I used on my hair tonight — straight from my bathroom shelf.

Ted Gibson and Jason Backe are not just celebrity hairdressers — they're the blueprint. Between styling Angelina Jolie, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o, and gracing the pages of every major publication, these two built something the industry had never seen before. And they're not done.
