One of the pitfalls of always looking down is that we have a tendency to look to government to do what only God can do. One of the places where we see this manifested in our culture is in the vast human rights rhetoric that abounds today. Do we have inalienable rights? If so, are all rights inalienable? The foundation of human dignity and person hood are being destroyed. Once we are depersonalized and/or dehumanized we are unsafe!
