'Play hard, play smart, concentrate.' Head Coach Brian Robinson's message to the Lady Villains recently netted the Bishop McGuinness girls basketball team their 11th state championship under his reign. The culture Robinson has established since his arrival in Kernersville is supremely unique, hence the unprecedented success his teams have experienced since 2002. It's a career arc that he never envisioned, and one that carried extreme doubt before he ultimately took the job at the small Catholic school. Now, Robinson's approach and love for the game of girls basketball has reverberated nationally as he tirelessly works to enhance the product. Robinson isn't in it for the acclaim or accolades though, and his humility shines as brightly as the smiles on the faces of those who play for him.
