For over 40 years Mark Garrow has been one of the more iconic voices in all of motorsports. The Triad native and longtime PRN anchor has spent a lifetime chronicling the racetrack. Never, though, has he covered what’s on tap for historic Bowman Gray Stadium this weekend. Winston-Salem will take center stage as NASCAR’s season-opening feature event occurs Sunday night at ‘The Madhouse.’

To help celebrate this momentous occasion at the iconic short track, Kyle Schassburger features the legendary Garrow & his broadcast journey. From spending his infancy at the track while both parents worked races, to following in his father’s footsteps in taking up boxing, the Vermont transplant’s unique climb to the summit of his profession provides an enthralling tale.
