Trial by Pilot

This week we discuss The Rook, a new supernatural spy thriller on Starz. Something falls on Elizabeth's back, Casey burps, and then the two of them talk about season 6 of Friends for awhile.

We head to Washington state this week to discuss the pilot to Twin Peaks, the 1990 crime mystery series created by David Lynch and Mark Frost. It's, uh...it's weird.

We review the pilot to NOS4A2, a new horror drama series on AMC based on the best selling novel by the same name...yes, that name is NOS4A2... The scariest part of this episode is definitely when our sound gets really staticky for, like, 90 seconds.

This week we travel around the globe on a poorly made cartoon map with Blood & Treasure, a new CBS drama that takes us to such exotic locales as Monte Carlo, Rome, and a nice airport.

This week we're watching the first episode of Cheers, widely regarded as one of the greatest television pilots of all-time. Tune in to find out if we agree!

We really needed something light-hearted and just plain FUN this week, so we watched the pilot to HBO's new miniseries Chernobyl.

This week we're drafting the best Game of Thrones characters! We discuss favorite scenes, memorable quotes, and who we're most attracted to on the show. Plus...where the hell is Howland Reed?! SPOILERS! EXPLICIT LANGUAGE! You've been warned.

This week we discuss the NBC sitcom Abby's, filmed entirely in front of a live outdoor audience! We also discuss animal fights, our favorite bars, and...what did Outback say?

This week we discuss Dead to Me, a new dark comedy on Netflix starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini. Also, Casey has gone MISSING! Don't worry, we're joined instead by Peter Shaughnessy, host of the upcoming podcast Paternity Leave. If you don't download this episode...you're DEAD TO ME.

In preparation for the series finale, we go back and watch the pilot to Game of Thrones, HBO's immensely popular fantasy series. From our first look at white walkers to "The things I do for love", this episode was packed full of GoT goodness.
