Yahweh’s word to us — past, present, on-going — is not a tool for us to get what we want or need. His word is an invitation into His will… into a “be it unto me according to Your word” heart and lifestyle. As we rehearse the word spoken to us and read the living, written Word, and always be open to and listening for an on-going word, it will propel us into a deeper relationship with Him.

Some of the most life-changing revelations come from prophetic seeds that were spoken and planted a long time ago. Yahweh is responsible for the seed, we are responsible for the soil. Before we were ever consumers, made by this world, we were meant to be gardeners. Remembering and rehearsing the word He has given us is how we tend and keep the garden He has given us.

In the Bible, it seems like Yahweh always chose the most unlikely of heroes and called them to do the impossible. When His Spirit fell upon them, He anointed and called them for a purpose. He also does that for us. When Christ came to dwell within us by Holy Spirit, we became the anointed ones. This anointing is not just reserved for a preacher, but for all of His sons and daughters here on the earth. Don’t pass this call off to someone you think can speak more clearly or is more articulate than you. The mighty Spirit of the Lord is wrapped around you, calling you to impossibility.

Our calling is to be counter-culture, with a way of life that is opposite of the prevailing social norms. We are like streams in the desert, flowing from a source that is different from what we see around us. The beauty and glory of Abba’s presence streaming through us will be an oasis to the weary and thirsty soul.

Nothing in this world can open the gate of breakthrough like thanksgiving. It is the qualifying hinge that opens this gate. So go home. Sit down. Relax. Talk to God. Rehearse all that He has done in your life, and then say: “Thank You.”

“My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of His cross crucified me with Him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives His life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that He gave Himself for me, and dispenses His life into mine!” Galatians 2:20 TPT

When Yahweh speaks a word to you or puts something into your spirit, be a faithful steward over that word! Write it down, make it plain, and never forget it. Rehearse what He has said, for it will surely come to pass.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures…” In every situation, even when we’re surrounded by chaos and confusion, the Lord is our faithful shepherd. He invites us to sit at the table He has prepared and feed on His faithfulness.

We have a responsibility to represent Christ within us, the hope of glory, with an authentic flame of His power within. It is the evidence that the culture sees in our lives that leads others into a greater desire for Him. If we want them to meet the resurrected Christ, let them see a demonstration that He is risen in you and me. We are the radiant ones, and His glory, like refracted light, streams through us.

It is in stillness and waiting that we can begin to be deeply rooted and rested in Abba. Waiting is not a laborious means to an end, it is a process that encourages our heart to be entwined and tethered to Him.
