In an effort to love our neighbors through the coronavirus pandemic, we aren't meeting together corporately. Instead we pray you find this short devotional fruitful to you and your family.

We learned this week through a tragic story of unrepentance that sin is the true prison and freedom is found only in Christ - even when faced with death.

Wrapping up our series in the book of Ecclesiastes Jordan taught us how to remember God before it's too late. "Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man."

As we near the end of our series in Ecclesiastes Jordan talked about how we are to live knowing that death awaits everyone. We know and must trust God that everything is for our eternal good and His glory.

This week we talked about the future - that God made the future for Himself and we aren't the main character. God's purpose for the future is to reveal His glory and wise living on our part doesn't guarantee an easy future.

Jordan was back this week with a message from Ecclesiastes in our series Smoke. He taught that even wealth is smoke, and will never satisfy. There is, however, a wealth that will satisfy - a wealth that is found solely in Jesus.

Joey Himes taught out of 2 John that old truth unlocks the door to real love. Truth binds is together, stills our hearts, cheers our spirit and compels us to obey; real love guards against heresy, abide in Christ, protects the truth and completes our joy.

In this edition of our study through Ecclesiastes we ask the question, 'Does hard work make my life worth living?' and learn that work too is smoke - it won't last.

This week Jordan showed us through the life of Solomon that the pursuit of pleasure will always leave us empty. However, those who come to Jesus will have pleasures unending.

Jordan continued in our study of Ecclesiastes this week teaching us that even wisdom itself and all that comes with it isn't worth building your life on but that Jesus alone satisfies.
