We wrap up this "heart section" of 1 Peter looking at how we are to live in the midst of a world that is suspect at best, and often hostile towards the church.

How do we understand suffering? We understand that:

- We're called to suffering

- Jesus is our example in suffering

- Jesus is our substitute in suffering

Every day we encounter authorities in our lives. How are we supposed to respond?

Sometimes we overcomplicate things, however, we've been called to a simple living out of our faith.

As followers of Jesus, our identity is found with Jesus, and our belonging is found with God.

Since Jesus has done a work for us and also in us, we ought to respond accordingly.

God gave you a new life, so live in a new way!

How do we deal with facing opposition, alienation and even suffering?
