I am a poor, miserable sinner. And, yet, while I am a sinner, Christ died for me. And for you. We were once poor. But Jesus has given us so much. And he Calls us to respond by taking care of those around us in need.
God Gives. We Respond. We are people who have been served greatly. Jesus was the Suffering Servant. And we can shine His light be serving those in need around us.
God Gives, We Respond. God gives us everything that we have. We can't even begin to count the blessings. How are you responding with the gifts that God has given you? Ready to take the Test Me Challenge?
There's a lot of brokenness in this world. I can't fix it you. You can't fix it. Jesus can fix it. Jesus will fix it.
God Gives. We Respond. That's the flow of the worship service. And that's the flow of all of creation. God gives. We respond. How will you respond to all of God's gifts to you this week?
In His death and resurrection, Jesus proclaimed victory over all things. He appeared to over 500 people after His resurrection - proof that this isn't a hoax.
Jesus still is winning victories. And He is coming again on the Last Day to win a final, ultimate victory!
The rest of the story. The moment in time that changed history. Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead! The tomb is empty. For you! Thanks be to God who gives us the victory, through our Lord, Jesus Christ!
We finally reach the pinnacle of God's plan of salvation. The death of Jesus on the Cross. But that's just part one of the story. The death of Jesus means nothing without the resurrection of Jesus! We specifically focus on the 7 words of Jesus from the Cross.
The Kingdom of Heaven, the Kingdom of God, is near, at hand, right here! Jesus is the Kingdom. And He is here with us today. And on the Last Day, He will create a new and perfect Kingdom for all of His children to spend eternity with Him!
The baptism of Jesus is always connected to His suffering and the cross. In our baptism, Jesus exchanges our sins for His robes of righteousness.
