This week, as we continue our Binge Reading the Bible Series, we turn to the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
The gospels teach us the Gospel! Why do we need anything else? Why do we need the Old Testament or the Epistles? Because the message of Jesus is terribly incomplete without the backstory.
School starts for our community this week. At Trinity Fremont, our K-8 school starts tomorrow (Wednesday). There are so many different emotions surrounding this school year. How do you move forward? Trust.
This week, we take a break from our normal routine of sermon reflection and talk about how different people are responding to the start of the school year. How is your family responding? Where are you placing your trust? In your head, your hands, your heart? Or in Jesus?

As we binge read the Bible, where in God’s Word can we turn in times of fear and anxiety (list compiled from Concordia Publishing House’s Pastoral Care Companion)?
Prayers (from Concordia Publishing House’s Pastoral Care Companion):
O most loving Father, You want us to give thanks for all things, to fear nothing except losing You, and to lay all our cares on You, knowing that You care for us. Strengthen _name_ in _his/her_ faith in You. Grant that the fears and anxieties of this mortal life may not separate _him/her_ from Your love shown to us in Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Lord Jesus Christ, You commanded the wind and the waves, and they obeyed You. Speak peace to _name_, who is troubled by fear. By the power of Your Word, calm _his/her_ anxious heart and the raging storms in _his/her_ spirit; for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
This week we moved to the prophets as we took a closer look at Hosea and asked what God was teaching us in this section of scripture.
What does it look like to live out God's wisdom in our lives? How can we talk about delayed gratification in our families, especially for the younger children in our homes? What would it look like to binge read the Wisdom literature in your life?

This week we continue our Binge Reading the Bible series as we move to the wisdom literature and seek God's wisdom and His plan for living the Good life.
Welp. Technology is great when it works, but when it doesn't... It doesn't. This week, our podcast file simply didn't work. So, instead Pastor Gerber takes a few minutes to recap what we talked about as we are reminded that God is always faithful. We see that in the historical books of the Bible. And we see that in our own histories.

We continue our Binge Reading the Bible series by looking at the historical books. During the sermon, Pastor Heuer showed a video from The Bible Project. That audio is not included in this, but the video can be seen here: https://bibleproject.com/explore/tanak-old-testament/
Is God's Word still applicable for our lives today? What passages are most influential for your life? As we move through this sermon series, we will be discussing how we see God reveal Himself in different sections of the Bible.

This week we start a new sermon series, Binge Reading the Bible, where we will be looking at different sections of the Bible and seeing how God reveals Himself to us in those sections.
We are all created in God’s image. But in this broken sinful world, we don’t live it out. We hurt people. People hurt us. So, living out our identity means forgiving those who have hurt us. So, what is forgiveness? Why should we forgive?
