When you have an 18 month series on the book of Mark and don't preach on the last 11 verses, it can feel like walking out on a good movie before everything is resolved.
However, Pastor Taylor teaches why Mark 16:9-20 are verses that were probably added later, and therefore not authoritative Scripture. He uses this topic as a springboard to preach about the treasure of the Word of God.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, kept for us by God, to communicate to us by God, in order for us to have relationship with God. The Scriptures don't save us, but they perfectly point us to the Savior, Jesus Christ.

April 17, 2022 Mark 16:1-8 // The New Beginning
The Gospel of Mark ends rather abruptly. The women leave the tomb trembling and astonished, and they were afraid.
There's a lot to learn from these few verses. First is the truthfulness behind this eyewitness account. The fact that women were the first ones at the tomb and that the disciples look foolish for not remembering the words of Jesus make the story credible. If it were made up, they would make themselves look good, not silly.
In addition, these verses demand we give our lives and devotion to the risen Lord. They encountered the living God, and through these verses we do as well.
In the end, Jesus doesn't want us to settle for a little Christianity on Sunday mornings. Rather, take all you have and buy all the gospel you can get your hands on.
