Many people ask, how good is good enough. In Mark 10:13-31 Jesus interacts with three groups of people, children, a rich man, and the disciples. And through these interactions a theme arises.
There's a lot of talk about money, but Jesus gets to the heart. He addresses the first commandment, that we should have no other Gods before him. And often it's a love for money that can get in the way.
But there was another rich man in the scene. Jesus was rich, but for our sakes became poor. We ought to leave our efforts to be good enough behind and come to Jesus with empty hands.
