Trinity Grace Church

We continue our study through the wonderful book of Numbers and we find ourselves right on the cusp of Israel leaving Sinai.  And here we find the trumpet sound - the sound to gather and to go out . . . and to glory.  

The Lord prepares His people for the journey.  And He points them and us to the fulfillment of His promises in Christ Jesus.

In this chapter of Numbers 8, regarding the lights and the Levites, we find Christ again - the light of the world and our perfect substitute.

We return to our study in Numbers and find in the midst of all the gifts and offerings, we find Christ in the tent of meeting.

In our last sermon of our mini-series on the emphases of Trinity Grace Church, we look at the glory of Christ in Church Planting.

Rev. VanMarel reminds us wonderfully of our privileges and responsibilities of being God's people.  We are not isolated potted plants but forest of trees growing together.  We are a body, called to live in fellowship and love in the gospel of the Lord Jesus.

We are taking a short break from our Numbers study to be reminded of who we are as a church and why we do what we do.  Rev. Miller begins with the passage of Scripture that drives all we do at Trinity Grace Church - oh, to be reminded of the sovereign grace of God!

What a blessing! What a privilege to have the Name of the Lord placed upon us!

The Nazirite Vow was a special vow for a special time.  We learn a lot from this vow even for the New Testament believer today. Jesus was a Nazarene, not a Nazirite - but He is the substance of the vow.  

For the previous four chapters we have learned of the organization of the camp of Israel  - and the tabernacle was right in the middle - God's presence was central to the life of the camp.  We've seen that God is holy - and here in chapter 5, we learn that His people are to be holy - because they belong to Him.
