We return to our study in Matthew as Jesus and His disciples now turn to the ascent to Jerusalem from Jericho.  And before they go, Jesus again encourages His disciples in the nature of the kingdom and the nature of its King.

In the Parable of the Laborers in the Vineyard we find clearly that the Master has the right to do as he pleases with that which belongs to him.  Our Sovereign Lord has the sovereign right to do as He pleases.  He is a God worthy of our worship.

Through the little children and the rich, young ruler, Jesus continues to teach of us the radical nature of himself and the kingdom that He has ushered in.

Jesus teaches us a high view of marriage taking us all the way back to creation - two become one flesh.  And it points us to the Christ and His church.
