The Shepherd we afraid of light of the glory of God, with good reason. We deserve to be afraid of the light of God. They angels told the shepherds and us we do not have to be afraid because the Savior has been born.

We are to recognize that our service to others is a service to God. Therefore we don't have to worry whether it is effective or appreciated.

God is present in our turmoils to help us. We are to be still and know that He is God.
