In this 12th week of our presbyterian polity class we pause to think about ordination.

May the people who are called by his name truly be counted friends of God, for it is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God. But how blessed it is to know the King is in our corner.

What are we even doing here? We are hearing and tasting again the Word of Christ which strengthens our weak faith and helps our unbelief.

God has not forgotten his special people.

There is freedom not only from the guilt of sin but also the bondage to sin.

Do not let the good news fall on uncircumcised ears. While it is still called today enter into the rest that remains for the people of God in Christ Jesus.

In your flesh you are weak, but in Christ and in his Spirit, you can make progress in holiness.

In this 11th week of our presbyterian polity class we look at 19th Century American Presbyterianism.

Because he has made us heirs and sons in Christ, by the Spirit we walk and live in his covenant mercy.

God always comes through on his promises and then some. He is more than adequate.
