What’s the verdict on Gideon? He was a deeply sinful man whom God used to accomplish a deliverance. He showed a degree of faith. But he also showed corruption. Yet, God is proved faithful throughout.

In this 14th week of our presbyterian polity class we look at Civil War Presbyterianism.

For the strong and the weak, we must remember, the Christian life is a life of faith, of active rest, of trust that leads to action, of believing God when he speaks, no matter our skill or station.

He came and tabernacled among us, lived and died for us, weak and willful as we are, because he is patient and he is faithful and he cannot deny himself.

God is faithful in spite of our best efforts.
