Triple Assurance | Psalm 62:1-12

Listen Later

David waits by surrendering completely on God and warns others to put their trust in Him, rather than in the folly of ill-gotten gain or human strength.
Verses 2, 5 and 12 contain three assurance that help us wait: God is our Salvation. God is our Expectation. God is our Vindication.
We live in a dangerous world. We never know what may be just around the corner, but we have the assurance that God is our work and our defence, And He is our Salvation (v.2). We must look to God, David looked to God. “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him” (v.5). We are not here to vindicate ourselves. Our vindication come from God, “Who will render to each one according to his deeds” (Rom.2:6). Today as you face difficulties with people or other things or circumstances, wait on the Lord. From Him comes your Salvation, your Expectation and your Vindication.
In times of trouble, if you look to God and wait for Him, He will see you through. Put God first and wait for Him to act on your behalf.
