James and Jess are joined this week by Camille Gierck! Camille currently works in the men’s family violence early-intervention sector, and sits on PartnerSPEAK’s Board. In the near future, Camille will be launching a reflective practice group for communications practitioners working in the family violence space (more details to come.)

Giselle is a Melbourne-based writer, bookseller and the Marketing & Communications Manager of the Feminist Writers Festival. Being involved in a large amount of activism and advocacy, Giselle combats stereotypes in in writing and through the many projects and organisations she organises and advocates for.

We talk about Giselle’s experiences with writing and journalism and how some toxic cultures can be fought through writing and self advocacy.

We also talk about some of the social political context in which Indian Queer identity is formed, such as the violence of Colonialism and queerphobia through politics, especially though the lens of racism.

We talk about our experiences as multi gender attracted individuals marching in pride, and how Anthony tends to run around like “a Bisexual maniac” which is not entirely inaccurate. Sounds funny, but this is an important part of our bisexual visibility, which we are all excited to express!
