In a world that celebrates individualism it has never been more accepting to be authentically you. We no longer need to conform to social norms to be accepted. We no longer have to follow a predetermined path. We can blaze our own trails only if we dare to be bold and willing to put in the time to know who we are. Self- awareness takes work and honesty, two attributes we are in short supply of these days.

Roughly 5 months ago our world changed radically because of COVID-19. Suddenly our lives were completely disrupted by reports from so called experts that millions of lives would be lost if we did not immediately shelter at home. Our schools and businesses closed and getting toilet paper suddenly became nearly impossible. Social media platforms became the new town square as it was the only way to connect with the outside world. As a result, it became a breeding ground for pseudo experts, false and intentionally misleading information. My panel of experts will help sort out fact from fiction.

The need to be liked and accepted is an inherent human quality. We innately crave acknowledgement from those we respect for things we have accomplished which is normal. However when the need to liked and accepted is what our self-esteem is built upon we're going to experience self-confidence and self-worth issues. The great paradox is we need to be in love with self while learning to accept ourselves and all our faults. This is the balance we must strike to no longer require the acceptance of others.

At some point in our lives we are going to face a major life changing event. Unless we were provided with the tools to effectively deal with and eventually overcome these events, we are going to struggle to properly heal from this event. This week I interview Lisa Marie Pepe. She will share with us how she overcame personal tragedy. Lisa will reveal to us the 8 steps to personal transformation that can help anyone who is ready to make a change and move their life forward.
We live in a world today where our culture encourages victimization. The first step to victimhood is being offended. Taking offense is a learned mindset in which we abandon all pretense of understanding and learning. We become so rooted in our belief systems that we are incapable of hearing differing ideas or thoughts outside our own voices and the echo chamber in which we live in. The result of this mindset is we give away our power to influence and effect change personally. Eventually the world tunes you out!
