Tripod

This week we're kicking off Gregg Araki's Teen Apocalypse Trilogy with Totally F***ed Up, a bold film about six queer teenagers as they navigate love, friendship, family and growing up in a world that doesn't seem to have much room for them. It's messy, funny, heartbreaking and one of the defining films of the New Queer Cinema movement.

The Pod-Brothers chat about Araki's DIY filmmaking style, the film's legacy, and why it still feels so honest and relevant more than thirty years later. Enjoy!

Hello listeners! Tripod is back with another episode. Did you know Saving Private Ryan, Interstellar and The Martian are all instalments of an unofficial trilogy? What's the connective tissue you ask? In each other these films the US Government spends Millions of dollars just to save one man: Matt Damon! In this episode we talk about Saving Private Ryan, which tells the story of a small platoon of men who are tasked with saving Private James Ryan after the top brass discover is three siblings have all died during their service in WWII. This episode was recorded at night, and the boys were fuelled by a lot of sugar so expect very 'last day of school' energy from these two bozo clowns. Enjoy!
