True inspiration for quite literally millions of backpackers over the last decade, this week we're honoured to be chatting with Will Hatton aka The Broke Backpacker.
Will started his travel journey 15 years ago, at the tender age of 19, first travelling to India, where he spent two years exploring the country's deepest, darkest corners. Stretching a budget of just $10 per day, Will became an expert at travelling cheap: couchsurfing, hitchhiking, wild camping, working odd jobs, and even sleeping in train stations, Will's opportunistic nature and ability to push himself out of his comfort zone allowed him to travel the world this way for years.
In 2013, Will launched his travel blog The Broke Backpacker. Armed with a vast knowledge and years of firsthand experience, Will became extremely passionate about teaching others how to travel the world on a tight budget. The Broke Backpacker is now one of the largest and most successful travel blogs on the internet, attracting over 1 million users per month. Loaded with valuable articles on topics such as budget travel, backpacking advice, digital nomadism, travel culture and travel philosophy, The Broke Backpacker is an incredibly valuable resource for travel novices and experienced backpackers alike.
Today, Will spends 6 months of the year living on the island of Bali, Indonesia, where he's recently constructed the island's first purpose-built co-working hostel: TRIBAL Bali. Well equipped with high-speed Wifi, soundproof booths, stand up desks and private meeting rooms, TRIBAL Bali is an amazing space for digital nomads and remote workers, providing an environment which encourages networking and creativity, whilst ensuring you catch the sunset by the pool!
Enjoy listening to Will's crazy adventures. Truly inspiring, refreshing, shocking, and very funny!
