Title: It’s Summertime!
Settle in as Jessy and Jonathan make summer plans. We discuss the perks as well as the challenges of being a university trombone professor on summer break. Join us as we chat about what we are excited to pursue and lean into over summer break. Try guided meditations and mindfulness sessions at Headspace (not sponsored, but seriously please sponsor us. I would do so much for so little): https://www.headspace.com
Ichiro Kishimi and Kumitake Koga’s “The Courage to be Disliked.”
Jessy and Jonathan discuss making daily or weekly goals and how that affected their practice. We are all taught that we should be making daily goals for our practice, but how often do we do it?
Leo Babauta of Zen Habits.
Our next challenge is to practice mindfulness prior to your first practice session of the day. Jonathan uses and recommends the guided meditations on the Headspace app.
After recording episode 1, Jessy and I realized we had more to discuss on the topic of "What we wish we knew."
In this episode we look back to being freshmen in college and ask ourselves, "what do you wish you knew or could tell your 18 year old self?"
Challenge for this episode: Move your body more.
