Trophyz and Medalz Podcast

On the 4th day of July we discuss our NBA Finals matchup of Bucks vs Suns and how it can be a redemption for many players and coaches involved. Many teams have filled in their new coaches but the Pelicans have not yet sealed the deal on anyone.  Or have they?  We speculate how Spoon can be the woman for the job.  Scottie Pippen has a brand of liquor he must really be enjoying as he tells his story about his bulls days. Was it racism that Scottie had an issue with or was it Phil being disloyal to his long time star?  Rachel Nichols got caught slipping and got exposed for taking shots at ESPN and Maria Taylor.  With Bill Cosby being released on a technicality, we discuss multiple points of views and the complexity of some horrible events.

The Ebbtide crew celebrates all the fathers and go over the different gifts we got.  We continue to discuss the playoffs leading into the conference finals. The front offices of the Pelicans, Mavs, and Celtics are on the clock to make the right move to make their stars happy. Juneteenth is officially a holiday....but did we really need that?  Should Marvel recast Black Panther?  What kind of "trauma" would fans have killing him on screen? Finally our guest host Jimmy has a flashback when his high school football team faced against batman's and clearly he is still hurt about (lol).

As round 1 of the NBA Playoffs come to an end we go over round 2 matchups.  Of course the crew did not let take my Knicks loss with pride....they wanted me to be in pain. We try to understand why the Celtics think Brad Stevens is qualified to be the new president of basketball operations.  Also, what moves can they pull off to get better (Lakers as well).  Blake Griffin had the whole league fooled apparently as he being that hustle guy the nets needed.  We also break down the Julio trade to my Titans, the fellas say I'm not excited enough....

With the NBA Playoffs continuing and the Knicks continuing to disappoint we give updates on each of the series. We also discuss the dynamics today's players deal with:  Media vs players, fans vs players, and young players vs older players. Media and fans might be getting on players' last nerve. Is it younger athletes being pushed to talk to media before they are mature and ready to handle it?  Or the innanet has allowed peopled who cover the game to talk reckless from a distance?  Finally we also discuss that old male vs female double standard in relation to some Mary J Blige accusations.

NBA Playoffs are back without a bubble and opening weekend did not disappoint. Teams and players made huge impressions on the national scene.  We will break down each series highlighting young players who are not afraid of the big lights. We discuss flopping being an annoying problem in the league *looks at Lebron*. Of course we had to talk about Kwame Brown and how you shouldn't test anyone with the last name Brown.  They may not be wrapped tight.   We also discuss transgenders in sports and is it an unfair advantage. Julio trying to abandon the A and more!

The Ebbtide Crew and special guests (Jimmy, D-Moe, and Chris) go over the 2021 NFL Draft.  With representation from the Saints, Titans, Vikings, Cowboys we break down how their picks will help or hurt their team.  We also go over the Packer's QB Rodgers trade rumors and is he worth the assets to get him at this age. We also give the Saints coaching staff props for year after year helping talent over achieve.  However, has this turned into arrogance during the draft?  How long do we have until Jerry Jones gets out of his own way with the Dallas Cowboys!?

This week an Ebbtide adjacent friend, Larron, comes thru to give analysis on baseball and his Cubs. He also explains how the game has change and how the art hitting is being lost.  We discus how Stan Van Gundy is saying the right things but he may not be the voice the Pelicans need.  Also, is Julius Randle a MVP candidate?  In music we break down how it may be unrealistic for labels to keep up and take care of artist long term.  Finally, should couples have a joint account?  We discuss how things have change in New Orleans, "She She's and shit", plus more!
