In the north of Iceland there is valley called Svarfaðardalur. It has long history, beautiful scenery and great stories. From the ghosts of the Sagas to the impoverished children of the early twentieth centuries.
You should see a black and white photo, taken by my grandfather Guðmar Gunnlaugsson (1913-2002) of Jóhann Kristinn Pétursson while they were at hospital together in Akureyri.
