Let Me Ask You This... Have you considered all the steps that go into launching a new business?
All the various components are required to be pieced together in just the right way, that you can structure a service or product that is eventually purchased.
From there, you start to gain more trust within your industry, and more purchases are made. You get to a point where business is going so well, or things are just that busy, that you decide you need to hire someone to help you out. Now, you’re an expert in your business, without a doubt.
But have you hired an employee before? Are you aware of all that it takes to properly hire an employee, but also what goes into retaining such employees so they don’t quit after the first 2 or 3 weeks?
I highly recommend taking a look at Teresa's incredible training, the Complete HR Blueprint as she does an excellent job teaching essential information that you need to know in order to successfully implement, and manage, your human resources in your business.
As I have mentioned time and time again, my mission on the Truck Focus Podcast is to introduce industry leaders just like Teresa, to you – the industry – to help create a pivotal impact!
Teresa, thank you so much for the value shared in today’s conversation.

Friends in the industry –
In today’s episode, I am excited for Rita Smith, owner of Road Warrior News, and a true industry advocate to come back to the Truck Focus Podcast, as part of our BUCKLE UP series!
During our conversation today, we dive into a coaching process, where Rita takes me through an incredible process on how to overcome worry, trouble, fear, and stress.
Throughout the conversation, Rita coaches me through how we can identify what is the worst-case scenario if what I am worried about came true, how to accept this worst-case scenario, so that way I can calmly work through how to rebuild after it occurs.
I believe today is an absolute must listen, as we all have worries and fears that we combat at one point or another, and we need to understand how to break through these and not allow them to hold us back.
I highly recommend visiting RoadWarriorNews.com to learn more, as well you can email Rita directly at [email protected]
During the course of our interview, Rita mentions Dale Carnegie and the powerful training taught in his book "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living".

Furthermore, we highlight another classic Dale Carnegie book definitely worth reading "How to Win Friends & Influence People".

Friends in the Industry...
In today's episode, I am excited to have Dr. Barry Gjerdrum return to discuss a very important topic, goals.
During our conversation today, Dr. Barry walks us through the importance of goal setting and provides strategic steps we can all take to help identify which goals matter most to us and how to accomplish them.
If you have been wondering "how on earth am I going to move the needle in my own life and accomplish more?" then this episode is for you!
Dr. Barry recently shared an article in the January 2022 edition of the Truck Focus Newsletter that I highly recommend you check out!
Goals article link: https://www.pvtlindustry.com/post/goals-an-article-written-by-dr-barry-gjerdrum
Excerpt from article:
"First of all, we need a WHY - a purpose or reason for wanting to change. Without a strong purpose, we tend to lose interest and focus and the goals fall away. Rather than say you want to lose 20lbs, dig deeper and ask yourself why you’d like to lose that weight. Perhaps you’d like to get into better shape. Maybe you’ve had a health scare and want to be there for your family. When you focus on the deeper reasons for wanting something, your chance of keeping focus is stronger and you’ll be more likely to reach the goal. According to Dan Hardy, “the power of your WHY is what will power you to overcome any obstacle and to achieve the seemingly impossible”.
