However the backlash from the public neared revolution as evidence of corruption and cover up on a much larger scale from with in the Belgian elite would come to the fore. With the UK still reeling over the death of 2 year old James Bulger, the attention and anger turned to his two killers Robert Thompson and Jon Venables and how a British court would trial 10 year old boys for murder.
Then there was their punishment , depending on how you look at it. It didn't end there with this case as events concerning James Bulger and his killers run all the way up to as recently as March 2019, some 26 years after his murder.
