Theodore John Kaczynski, also known as the Unabomber, is an American domestic terrorist, primitivist and former mathematics professor. He was a mathematics prodigy, but abandoned his academic career in 1969 to pursue a more primitive life. Between 1978 and 1995, he killed three people and injured 23 others in a nationwide bombing campaign against people he believed to be advancing modern technology and the destruction of the environment. He issued a social critique opposing industrialization and advocating a nature-centered form of anarchism. This video is sponsored by PodDecks: Use Code TCNS for 10% off. https://powered-by-pod-decks.peachs.co/a/lawrence-leaseFollow us on Twitter: www.twitter.com/truecrimensLike Us on Facebook: www.facebook.com/truecrimeneversleepspodcastSupport Us By Buying Us a Coffee: www.buymeacoffee.com/tcnsSend us a tip at www.streamlabs.com/truecrimeneversleepsSOURCEShttps://www.baltimoresun.com/news/bs-xpm-1996-04-07-1996098026-story.htmlhttps://www.nytimes.com/1996/04/05/us/suspect-s-trail-investigation-long-twisting-trail-led-unabom-suspect-s-arrest.htmlhttp://www.bop.gov/iloc2/InmateFinderServlet?Transaction=IDSearch&needingMoreList=false&IDType=IRN&IDNumber=04475-046

Lyle and Erik are American brothers who were convicted in 1996 for the 1989 shotgun murders of their abusive and negligent parents, LIVE Entertainment executive José Menéndez and his wife Mary ("Kitty"). During the trial, the brothers alleged that they committed the murders in response to years of sexual and emotional abuse they suffered at the hands of their parents, particularly their father. They were first tried separately, with one jury for each brother. Both juries deadlocked, which resulted in a mistrial. For the second trial, they were tried together by the same jury, which found them guilty; as a result, they were sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. This video is sponsored by PodDecks: Use Code TCNS for 10% off. https://powered-by-pod-decks.peachs.co/a/lawrence-leaseFollow us on Twitter: www.twitter.com/truecrimensLike Us on Facebook: www.facebook.com/truecrimeneversleepspodcastSupport Us By Buying Us a Coffee: www.buymeacoffee.com/tcns
