In this week’s True Crime This Week, we go through several major case updates and breaking developments from across the U.S.
We start with former Colleton County Clerk of Court Becky Hill, who pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to her conduct during the Alec Murdaugh trial, including obstruction of justice, perjury, and misconduct in office — and how her sentencing may impact Murdaugh’s ongoing appeal.
We then discuss the long-running case of Catherine Hoggle out of Montgomery County, Maryland, including her recent competency hearings, new murder indictments related to the disappearance of her children Sarah and Jacob, and the judge’s ruling that she is now competent to stand trial more than a decade after they vanished.
Finally, we cover a breaking triple homicide in Odessa, Texas, where Jessica Rodriguez and two of her children were killed, and a 15-year-old suspect has been arrested. Due to the ages involved, limited information has been released as the investigation continues.
