In 1970 writer-director Mel Brooks made a movie called THE TWELVE CHAIRS starring Ron Moody, Frank Langella, Dom Deluise and Brooks himself in a small role. It got minimal distribution. It was released between 1968's THE PRODUCERS (for which Brooks won an Academy Award for Best Screenplay) and his mega hit BLAZING SADDLES.
