In this episode Jesus picks His 12 apostles and then we begin with the Sermon on the Mount, which will be broken into 2 episodes due to the length of it.  Luke covered it in 20 verses while Matthew, who was present at the time, covers it in 3 chapters.

In this episode Jesus defends His disciples plucking grain on the Sabbath then restores a withered hand and finishes up by healing a multitude, all while the pharisees and scribes conspire to find a way to trap and kill Him.

The world is familiar with repent and be redeemed and it's familiar with adoption (Abba, Father), but they have little knowledge or understanding of the Holy Spirit.  So let's take 25 minutes and talk about it.

God has sown the Seed of Goodness, the Seed of Righteousness, the Seed of Truth into every Believer and the fruit thereof is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control; against such there is no law.

Thanks for joining me today, I had the privilege of being invited to preach this message for First Baptist Church of Tonganoxie and it was such a Blessing to me.  The Shepherd is based on a vision that the Lord had given me in July 2021.   I love the way the Lord will lead us, if we allow Him, to personalize the message for the congregation or the people that we are with at the time.  This is a great message for the Christmas season and fit so well with Pastor Childs message from the week before, which was "Don't Leave Jesus In The Manger."  I hope you enjoy this message and that it Blesses you as much as it has me.

Are we predestined to die at a certain day and time?  Or has God promised us a long life?  Is there a purpose for a long life?  Or are we just afraid to die?  Let's see what the Word of God has to say about it.

The Holy Spirit has been dealing with me on this part of the night.  He re-enforced to me that we make light of Hell.  That in our arrogance and lack of understanding we do not give serious thought and consideration to what Hell truly is.  Instead, we think of it as something that we can defeat by ourselves or, because we can’t see it from here, it doesn’t exist.  It’s just an old tale meant to scare people into believing a certain way.
The Holy Spirit showed me just a little of what it was like, helping me to compare it to things of this world but magnified 10,000 times over.  Let’s look at some of what He showed me and then we will go to Scripture to see what it says.
