18 The eyes (eyes of the mind, the faculty of knowing) of your understanding (deep thought, mind) being enlightened (to light up, to bring to light, render evident); that ye may know (perceive) what is the hope (joyful and confident expectation) of his calling (invitation), and what the riches (fulness, abundance, plenitude) of the glory (splendor, brightness, magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, grace, majesty) of his inheritance (possession) in the saints (most holy thing, believer),

That the eyes of your mind be increasingly brought into the light of His knowledge, His wisdom, His understanding that you perceive what is the joyful and confident expectation of His invitation to be His sons and daughters, basking in the fulness of the splendor of His inheritance in every believer.

That God desires to bestow a gift, through the Holy Spirit, of broad and full intelligence, laying bare the full discernment of God Himself. - Spirit

The tongue can be a tool of my spirit or of my soul and what comes out of the mouth is what is in the heart (spirit) of the man.

The five physical senses of the body give information to the mind, but the mind is responsible for translating that information appropriately (according to our values).

Refreshing and renewing my mind daily with the Word of God helps ensure my values are in line with God.

(3) We share in the victory spoils of every enemy we face (Isa. 53:12). (4) We have conquered the Conqueror with merely a glance of our worshiping eyes. We have won his heart (Song. 4:9; 6:5).

2. Clearly implied in the text with the Greek word hupernikao. The love of God gives us “a glorious hyper-victory,” more than can be described or contained in one word. God’s love and grace has made us hyper-conquerors, empowered to be unrivaled, more than a match for any foe!

As Babes

-  Need physical care and nurturing the most

-  Everything is a new and exciting discovery

-  Spiritually, we have unfettered access to the Father

-  Spiritually, we enjoy Him but need Him the least

As Youths

-  Physically and emotionally we are more self-sufficient

-  We have learned some things but there is still a lot of exciting discoveries awaiting us

-  Spiritually our access to the Father becomes more challenged by the world

-  Spiritually our need for Him is on the increase

As Adults

-  We consider ourselves completely self-sufficient

-  Physically and emotionally we “feel” many things even for the first time

-  Spiritually the world is increasingly challenging our belief in our Father

-  Spiritually we need Him more now than ever before

As Seniors

-  We begin to consider what we need to give up

-  Emotionally we begin to consider death

-  Spiritually we wonder if our relationship with God the Father is enough

-  Spiritually we may have a legacy for multiple generations

Let's look at how Paul corrected the believers in Corinth when they started separating into groups based on who had taught them, very similar to how we have become so many denominations within what is supposed to be one Body in Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:1-11 TPT
1 Brothers and sisters, when I was with you I found it impossible to speak to you as those who are spiritually mature people, for you are still dominated by the mind-set of the flesh. And because you are immature infants in Christ,
2 I had to nurse you and feed you with “milk,” not with the solid food of more advanced teachings, because you weren’t ready for it. In fact, you are still not ready to be fed solid food,
3 for you are living your lives dominated by the mind-set of the flesh. Ask yourselves: Is there jealousy among you? Do you compare yourselves with others? Do you quarrel like children and end up taking sides? If so, this proves that you are living your lives centered on yourselves, dominated by the mind-set of the flesh, and behaving like unbelievers.
4 For when you divide yourselves up in groups— a “Paul group” and an “Apollos group”—you’re acting like people without the Spirit’s influence.
5 Who is Apollos, really? Or who is Paul? Aren’t we both just servants through whom you believed our message? Aren’t each of us doing the ministry the Lord has assigned to us?
6 I was the one who planted the church and Apollos came and cared for it, but it was God who caused it to grow.
7 This means the one who plants is not anybody special, nor the one who waters, for God is the one who brings the supernatural growth.
8 Now, the one who plants and the one who waters are equally important and on the same team, but each will be rewarded for his own work.
9 We are coworkers with God and you are God’s cultivated garden, the house he is building.
10 God has given me unique gifts as a skilled master builder who lays a good foundation. Afterward another craftsman comes and builds on it. So builders beware! Let every builder do his work carefully, according to God’s standards.
11 For no one is empowered to lay an alternative foundation other than the good foundation that exists, which is Jesus Christ!
