We're back and joined once again by good friend of the show, @HeadzAintRedee, and we jump right into business by discussing wether or not we think it's okay to buy fake sneakers for your young kids. The train kept rolling when we got into a mini-discussion about leather quality; inspired one part by our friend @SCollard23 and the other part by the leaked images of the alleged upcoming Supreme Air Force One Low. We round out the show by discussing why we think retro sneakers are so much more sought after than new releases, how we feel about OG colourways on new silhouettes, and what sneakers may be the "classics" of the 2010-2019 decade that was.

After some technical difficulties last week, we're back after our Christmas break with the show you've all been waiting for - the True to Size Awards. You've all been voting and we have the results from one of the busiest sneaker years in recent memory. We also have the final results from our most successful New Year Countdown ever, and want to extend our deepest thanks to everyone who participated, donated, and showed love. It's our last episode of the year so we crammed as much content in to one episode as possible. Along with returning guest, Philly aka Sole Purpose, we finalize the nominations for the True to Size awards after all of you gave us your input and opinions. We also learn about an OG selling platform that is trying to get a stake in the sneaker resell market, try to figure out what the best Christmas movie ever is, and talk about our picks for sneaker of the decade. We close the 'sode with a year in review - remembering our favourite moments, and deciding on our favourite pick-ups.

With a slow news week in the world of sneakers came a tidal wave of release announcements, previews, and first looks; so we modified This Week In Kicks to talk about what we're excited to see come down the pipeline in 2020. Things got a little heated when Alvin asked the boys what pet peeves they have while driving, but the tension was broken when we began to recap #CGSto2020 thus-far. We concluded the episode by setting the stage for the second annual TRUE TO SIZE AWARDS! We ran through the categories and discussed who we think should be nominated - now it's up to the listeners to make the final decision before the voting begins next week. We really do keep thinking we're in for a short episode, but once we get going it's hard for us to stop! This week the NBA's sneaker king finally signs his long-anticipated endorsement deal, we talk about our favourite bubble-tea flavours, and we discuss an upcoming New Balance collab - but we get the collaborator's name wrong. Because we're coming off of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the main discussion revolves around sales, deals, and promotions, and if we ever find ourselves spending some dough on "shopping holidays".

This week we stole The Sneaker Podcast's host, Mike D, and we may not give him back. We had a great time getting to know Mike, who recently moved to Toronto from Montreal; learning about what it's like working for a major sneaker brand, what differences he's noticed since his move to Canada's largest sneaker market, and what started his love for sneakers in the first place. We braved an early winter storm and fought through mounds of snow to bring you another banger of an episode this week, and it sure was a good one. We talk about a sneaker reselling platform three times the size of Stock X - which gives us a lot of perspective as to where Canada falls in the global sneaker marketplace. We also talk about how to deal with the snow as a sneakerhead -  what shoes we wear/don't wear in the winter, if we're down with boots, and what we do to avoid ruining our shoes in slush and salt. Kevin aka @KJtotheB joins us, so of course we played 21 Guestions, and learned about his sneaker history with his Soleography.

Another "short" episode turned out to be anything but, as we got into a rant about Complex's "Shoe of the Year" proclamation. We also get blessed with Nike vs Sketchers 2.0 - as Nike doubles down and sues Sketchers for a second time. Finally, so we don't leave it until the night before, we discuss what we want to put on our display table at Jus' Kickin' It.

This week was supposed to be a short show, but once we start talking history and stories we can't be stopped - and thats exactly what this week was all about. From our fire round question about our favourite sneaker fact, to Now Spooky Related where we made up our own scary stories, we had a lot of fun with storytelling this week. We closed it out going over a few different sneakers that had seen some changes since they were first introduced, and discussed wether we thought the OG was better, or if we liked the newer iteration more.
