In this lesson Heath shares some powerful truths about the culture that we are raising our children in, and how we as parents can raise our children to become spiritually mature adults who serve the Lord. This can all happen if we parent with eternity in mind.
In this lesson David brings to life the Scripture as he discusses how we as parents can be authentic parents. He uses the example of arrows being shot out found in Proverbs and show us from the Bible 9 ways that we as parents can invest in our children.
In this session, Hunter Davis discusses how Impact Youth works and the layout of what the Impact team does so that you as the parent can utilize the things that they do. It is not the job of the church to raise up children in the way they should go, but it is the job of the church to edify and build up. This being said, youth group and kids club can be a powerful tool for parents to use to help them train their kids God's way.
In this lesson we here from Lance Barrick who teaches from the Word of God about how we view our children, and how that makes a difference in our parenting. Our goal is to train up our children in the way they should go, don't you think we need to view them as God does if we are to do this correctly? Find out what Lance has learned from the Bible in this great lesson.
In this lesson Moses dies. As sad as this is for the people, we can look at the whole book of Deuteronomy, being the last words of Moses, encouraging the people to remember so that they obey God. Even though we are not under the same covenant, we can still apply this by remembering things like who God is and what He has done, which will inspire us in the present or future to obey God.
In this lesson we look at chapter 33 where Moses blesses the people of Israel tribe by tribe. We can see through this blessing the desire of Moses for the people as he gets ready to die. He encourages the people, as he has done throughout the book, to follow God and do what is right. This begs the question, do we encourage others to do right?
In this lesson we will look at the song of Moses and how he warns the people of Israel about what will happen when God blesses them. Just like most people, when God blesses us temptation comes to stop following Him. We must give credit to God for what He has done in our lives and thank Him for those thing in order to combat worldliness.
In this lesson we will see that Moses, standing before the people, proclaims Joshua as the new leader of Israel, and that Moses tells both Joshua and the people of Israel to have courage. This of course begs the question, "What is courage?" and "Do I need courage in todays culture?" In this lesson we see what courage is and how we can and should be using it today.
In this lesson we see the people of Israel and God entering a conditional covenant. This is the section where that covenant is ratified. Chapters 27-30 show us the promises of cursing and blessing God gives in the conditional covenant, and Israel's history shows us that God truly is a promise keeper. We will look at all this and more in today's lesson.
The law is something that bogs many readers down and most believers skip over in their daily Bible reads. Deuteronomy 12-26 is all about the law. We can see that as we look at the law it can be understood and broken down into sections, but more than that, can be understood with regards to purpose. The purpose of the law can be directly applied by us today as we see who God is through the law that He gave.
