The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation recently launched an anti racism week. We spoke to Delani Majola, a representative of this foundation to tell us more about this week and what the foundation does to fight racism in South Africa.

truAfternoon spoke to Zamikhaya Maseti the Programme Manager for the National Initiative for the Development Bank of SA. He is also the Managing Director @ Ngubengcuka Research Policy Strategy and Advisory Consulting. With him, we wanted to understand what racism actually is.

We usually hear of this custom especially when a relative passed away due to un-natural causes. We spoke to Tat'uDosini to explain to us what "ukubuyisa umphefumlo" is and the proper way of doing it.

Many times we find celebrities complaining on how the media follows them around and how it has destroyed their lives. We asked trufm listeners to weigh in on this and let us know whether or not this is the case. We also spoke to Yoliswa Sobuwa who is an entertainment reporter for The Herald in Port Elizabeth to explain to us if this is the case.

According to some newspaper reports it has been made official that Queenstown will now be knows as Komani. There will be other towns affected by these names changes as well. We spoke to the Councillor Janda who is the Chairperson of the Eastern Cape Provincial Geographic names Committee to tell us more about this process.

truBreakfast spoke to Mr Mdazana about the role played by Chapter 9 institutions in protecting the rights of the citizen.

tru Afternoon is proud to introduce a new feature on its line up. Its simply called "Traditional Tuesdays". This is a platform to engage on traditional issues. We started of this week talking about UKUZIGODISA; its meaning and the proper way of doing it. We asked our very own Mr. Tyatyeka to assist us with this discussion.

On Tuesday 2nd March, in Parliament, General Bantu Holomisa referred to some member of the house as "ooNontorotyi". It goes without saying that many South African women were less than impressed by this word.
truAfternoon, explored the meaning of this word with Mr. Tyatyeka, who is a traditionalist. We also spoke to Mihlali Gqada a women who holds a BA in Political Science and Public Admin from UCT and also to Mrs. Nobuntu Madwe from the Methodist Church of SA to hear their reactions.
