Donald Trump's determination to acquire Greenland has dominated talks at the Davos World Economic summit overnight, with the US President refusing to take the threat of trade tariffs off the table.

But he has ruled out using military force.

Meanwhile the EU and France say Greenland's sovereignty is not negotiable and have warned the dispute could shatter the NATO alliance - and reignite a trade war.
