President Donald Trump has issued a challenge to all sanctuary cities and sanctuary states. In a public statement, he laid out the case that illegal aliens and criminals have been given priority over American citizens, and that the responsibility for the related crime and chaos is in the hands of elected officials who facilitated and then protected it. In light of this, Trump issued a challenge for elected officials to hand over criminal aliens in prisons and jails, to allow police to cooperate with federal authorities, and to end sanctuary cities across the United States.
