He said the Navy is contributing an additional $2.9 billion, American taxpayers will receive a 40 percent stake, and the project will create more than 3,100 jobs in Maryland and support 11,000 more across the country.

    He also spoke about the conflict with Iran and the naval blockade, operations against drug cartels and in Venezuela, defense spending, tariffs and the economy, and recognized sailors from the USS Billings, midshipmen from the U.S. Naval Academy and players from the Baltimore Ravens.
