White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt firmly pushed back against journalist Yamiche Alcindor during a press briefing, following Alcindor’s questioning of President Trump’s recent remarks concerning South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and the controversial claim of "white genocide" in South Africa. 

Leavitt defended the president’s position, stating that the administration was committed to raising awareness about human rights concerns wherever they arise and that President Trump was simply responding to reports of violence and land seizures that had garnered international attention. She emphasized that the president’s comments should not be interpreted as an indictment of the South African government, but rather as a call for transparency, due process, and the protection of all citizens, regardless of race.
