The build-up to the "debate of the century" had the media and political worlds buzzing with excitement. It's a once in a lifetime event, 2 presidents with side by side track records. Biden's SOTU was so "fiery" everyone was waiting to see what he'd bring face to face with Trump. What we got was an unmitigated disaster for Biden in which he committed political suicide on the world stage. After all, the Biden campaign asked for this! Joe was tucked away at Camp David for 8 whole days, only to come out mouth agape, with frail muffled speech. Biden seemed utterly confused half the time and even stuck to the Charlottesville hoax after it had been recently debunked. With all the lawfare circling Trump, he came out Triumphant, looking unscathed and poised. Out of all the personal attacks these two men could take to task, Trump was most offended by Biden's golf handicap, which he claimed was a 6. It was utter panic, defcon 1 and "we have a problem" for Democrats when it was all said and done. So what will they do now, usher in Gavin Newsom, put Kamala Harris up to the task? One thing is for sure, time is running out. RFK Jr. simulcast his own debate from Los Angeles but as of now, this is a 2 person race. Trump is looking better than ever as he rides this wave.
