Psalm 89 ends with a powerful reminder that faith is not built on understanding everything—it is built on trusting the character of God. The psalmist wrestles honestly with confusion, looking at the brokenness and difficulty around him and questioning why certain things are happening. He knows God is merciful, faithful, and true to His promises, yet life still doesn’t always make sense. But instead of walking away from God in confusion, the psalmist makes a decision to continue trusting Him anyway: “Blessed be the Lord forevermore. Amen, and amen.” There will be seasons when we cannot fully understand what God is doing or why He allows certain hardships. In those moments, we have to anchor ourselves not in what we can see, but in who God has proven Himself to be. Even when life feels confusing or painful, you can trust God to remain faithful, good, and true to His Word.
