North Queensland Co-captain Reuben Cotter has revealed maintaining the trust in what the club was trying to build has been the key to playing the football they want to play ahead of this year's finals series. 

"We knew we had that footy in us, we had to stay calm and trust in what we're trying to build," Cotter said.

Cotter also re-signed with the club this week.
