In this Introduction Episode, Sara gives you a preview about what she experienced during her workation in the Netherlands in 2019. She always wanted to live there and experience the "Dutch Way of Working". Even according to the OECD, the Dutch are extremely good at balancing work and private life. So she had one month to accomplish her mission: find proof and answers for her long-held assumptions. The Dutch seem to have more fun at work! They appear to have a natural understanding of dealing with cultural diversity. Hierarchy? Not accepted in the Netherlands! The best example is Buurtzorg (Dutch for “neighborhood care”) - they got rid of all the managers and have instead self-managing teams of nurses. Sara wanted to find more of those examples for innovative organizations and progressive thinkers. And she found them!
